Who converted Ward Cammack?

After this morning report from Kleinheider, I’m left wondering, “who converted Ward Cammack?” While he claims that the Bush Republicanism made him run into the Democrats’ loving arms, he also says that he voted for Harold Ford, Jr. 

Giving up what appears to be his past card-carrying status as a member and donor to the Republican Party to run as a Democrat for Governor, and since the new Democratic Party Treasurer has a similar past, is there a prominent Democrat expanding the tent of the party to reach the affluent white guys like Ward Cammack and Bill Freeman?

Probably  not.  But is Ward Cammack a Ford Democrat, Obama Democrat or a Cammack-type of Democrat?
